About Me

My name is Jenny.  I was born and raised in beautiful Colorado.  I received my Bachelor's degree in Biology and Spanish from Colorado State University in 2002 I worked as a medical laboratory technologist in Salt Lake City, Utah, for one year before moving to Denver to serve as a bilingual health educator for AmeriCorps for one year.  I received my Ph.D. in Natural Resource Economics from Colorado State University in 2010, then moved to St. Paul, Minnesota to work as a regional economist and data developer for IMPLAN.   In 2013 I moved with the company to Charlotte, North Carolina, where I lived for a year and a half.  In 2015 I returned to Colorado, where I continue to work for IMPLAN from my home in Denver. 

I have recently received a certificate in translation and interpretation from the Community College of Aurora, and currently serve as a volunteer interpreter for the Rocky Mountain Immigrant Advocacy Network and as a translator for the International Foundation for World Freedom.   My other hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, music, traveling in general, and visiting U.S. National Parks in particular.
